Dustin Graham Sketch

Topps artist Dustin Graham has been working on some great giveaways via his Facebook page using various GPK characters hand painted and signed on textured mini sketch cards. The 4th character Dustin chose to use was our Fryin' Brian!

Each sketch is hand signed by Dustin and is a 1/1 sketch. Can't wait to have this beautiful sketch added to my collection!

Custom David Lizanetz Painting

Fellow GPK collector and Fryin' Brian collector Brian Martin sent me images of this amazing custom painting he bought. The original painting was done by artist David Lizanetz from Sour Apple Gallery in Phoenix Arizona.

The painting depicts a marsh mellow being toasted off Fryin's heat lol Hence the "Toasted" title above the artists signature on the reverse. This original artwork is hand painted acrylic paint on top of original GPK stickers which were pasted to canvas as a background. Please check out other Garbage Pail Kids paintings David has done which are available as 11x14 prints and are limited to 50 of each.

David's work for sale can be found here http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SourAppleGallery

Custom Fryin' Sketch From Artist Dutch Chenduz

Dutch GPK collector Kalas posted this great custom Fryin' Brian sketch over on the UG from Dutch Artist Chenduz.

Really nice to see others take with their own custom sketches and art. You can checkout this and more of his work here chenduz.deviantart.com/

Electric Bill Prison Art

Something completely different here when it comes to fan art, not from just any fan, but a fan held in a Californian Super Max Prison. This is a print from the original piece, the image was sent to me from a friend Derek 'DXTC' Berlin who bought the piece from a seller on eBay.

From the sellers description:

'Drawn in a California Supermax Isolation Unit using 100% Ball Point Pen, Filler and some Pastels. 100% Original Art. If your interested in having the artist draw you something of your own idea please let me know! Thank You!!!'

Something i would like to add to my collection, although i think an original would be even better, a very interesting and different drawing from someone with plenty of time on their hands lol I wonder if he'll one day be in Brian's/Bill's situation lol

Deviant Fryin' Fan Art

Found this great fan drawing on deviant art by Dreekzilla. I really love this take on Fryin' the lightning to his eyes is something different to most sketches.

The art was uploaded to Deviant Art in June 2011.

Fan Art

Found this eBay auction while browsing the web for new Fryin' finds, just a shame the auction had ended like 3 days ago. It was 2 pieces of fan art drawn by artist Steve Potter. One piece in ink and the second piece which is computer coloured.

Now I know these aren't custom work by GPK artists but sometimes fan art can be very good and clearly he is a good artist.

"This is an original drawing of Garbage Pail Kids character Fryin' Brian / Electric Bill (card #4 from 1985 1st series). Drawn in 2010 and signed by artist Steve Potter. Drawn in ink (Also included a computer colored version), The original measures 9.5"x7" and the color version 9.5"x8.5" both suitable for framing. Actual card is not included and image is just for reference. Cheap art, FREE shipping! A nice illustration for a GPK fan. "
