Sealed Peruvian La Pandilla Basura Packet

A friend TCT was kind enough to share this wonderful sealed Peruvian La Pandilla Basura packet image with me that has Fryin'/Electric on it (on the right is the Peruvian card)

A very rare piece indeed and as far as i know is the only time the image has appeared on any GPK packet? I would like this piece in my collection one day but first i still need to track down the card from that set.

Electric Bill Prison Art

Something completely different here when it comes to fan art, not from just any fan, but a fan held in a Californian Super Max Prison. This is a print from the original piece, the image was sent to me from a friend Derek 'DXTC' Berlin who bought the piece from a seller on eBay.

From the sellers description:

'Drawn in a California Supermax Isolation Unit using 100% Ball Point Pen, Filler and some Pastels. 100% Original Art. If your interested in having the artist draw you something of your own idea please let me know! Thank You!!!'

Something i would like to add to my collection, although i think an original would be even better, a very interesting and different drawing from someone with plenty of time on their hands lol I wonder if he'll one day be in Brian's/Bill's situation lol

Various Sketches

Here is a mixture of Official GPK artists sketches from various releases. I love seeing each artists take on the character, all different and yet all great in each artists style. Special props too Joe Simko's version, his work really took it too another level.

BNS1 - Joe Simko & Flashback 2 - Neil Camera
Flashback 2 - Layron Dejarnette & Flashback 1 - Fred Wheaton
BNS2 - Mark Pingitore & ANS4 - Don Perlin

I would love to have even one of these in my collection let alone all of them. It's nice to see that at least one artist has picked Fryin'/Electric to sketch in every GPK release that's had sketches included.

Deviant Fryin' Fan Art

Found this great fan drawing on deviant art by Dreekzilla. I really love this take on Fryin' the lightning to his eyes is something different to most sketches.

The art was uploaded to Deviant Art in June 2011.

Fan Art

Found this eBay auction while browsing the web for new Fryin' finds, just a shame the auction had ended like 3 days ago. It was 2 pieces of fan art drawn by artist Steve Potter. One piece in ink and the second piece which is computer coloured.

Now I know these aren't custom work by GPK artists but sometimes fan art can be very good and clearly he is a good artist.

"This is an original drawing of Garbage Pail Kids character Fryin' Brian / Electric Bill (card #4 from 1985 1st series). Drawn in 2010 and signed by artist Steve Potter. Drawn in ink (Also included a computer colored version), The original measures 9.5"x7" and the color version 9.5"x8.5" both suitable for framing. Actual card is not included and image is just for reference. Cheap art, FREE shipping! A nice illustration for a GPK fan. "

Jeff Zapata's Crookie Crisp Cereal

Back in 2012 GPK artist Jeff Zapata created custom GPK cereal boxes using real cereal boxes and painting his own Garbage Pail Kids/Wacky style cereal using a character on each. I missed this auction and was told about it recently but wasn't able to find any images. Luckily the winning bidder of the item Patrick Walsh was kind enough to send me photos of the amazing Fryin' Brian cereal and sketch.

Jeff really created something amazing with these one of a kind customs. I really hope to see more custom items like this in the future.

Negative Proof

My good friend Derek 'DXTC' Berlin sent me these images of the 4b Electric Bill negative proof he acquired for his amazing collection of GPK proofs.

This would be a great addition to my collection but if I had the biggest collection of proofs I wouldn't part with it either.

Luis Diaz's Zombie Fryin'

GPK Artist Luis Diaz created this Fryin'/Electric Zombie take sketch recently at c2e2 Convention. They are currently available to buy via his store (link below)

This is a one of a kind card drawn in pen & ink by Luis Diaz (former GPK artist) Each card is induvidual. The sketch was created at the Chicago Convention (c2e2) Each card is hand signed by the artist Luis Diaz.

'Ghost of a Chance'

Garbage Pail Kids artist Jeff Zapata created a one of a kind comic book featuring various GPK characters. A real comic book was used, the pages blanked out and Jeff recreated his own comic book art. A good friend Ray DeMarco purchased the one of a kind piece and was kind enough to send the images for the Fryin' Brian 'Ghost of a Chance' story.

The story seems to explain how Fryin' made his way to the famous electric chair and ends up with his meeting of the devil.

Israeli Fryin' Brian

This morning my Israeli Havurat Ha'Zevel Fryin' Brian card arrived from a good friend and tsar of finding me foreign cards Grant Klum. An absolute gem of a find and was more than excited when this arrived from him.

The card design reminds me very much of the Japanese Bukimi Kun cards in the fact the header and name bar are in a language that is unreadable. This is by far my favourite foreign Fryin' in my collection.

My Mark Pingitore Sketch

My first Fryin' sketch arrived from artist Mark Pingitore. The sketch is on his own personalised 'Garbage Ping Kids' sketch cards.
